Come have a visit to the new website!

Welcome! This will be our new home on the web. Much better than fumbling along like I was. This is so much easier to manage already, and we've just begun!

Please have patience with us as we continue to edit the design pages and add words to the designs as that was all lost when our previous website got hacked. Forgive me if I don't have your shop in the listing, we are also working on updating that list. If you would like to be included, please don't hesitate to send your information. Thank you!

With the many requests per week on different things, I came to realize how often the website was used and knew we needed to get something going quickly. Thanks to Deanna for working so quickly on all this... but she has good reason, she is getting married this month and the pressure was on for more than one reason!

I am totally thrilled with the search bar on the Designs page, so as we add things you will hopefully find any pattern you are interested in from here. We loaded them by year, simply because one adds to a portfolio several times in a year, and then newest ones will always be on top. Hopefully a pdf listing of charts will be available soon.

It has been almost 2 months since my last post - I think the longest break ever - and I hope that you were able to find some things via the Jeannette Douglas Designs Facebook page. We have been overwhelmed happily with orders for Spring by the Sea! We continue weekly to say, okay, good; now we have enough thread packs.... and then I'll be darned I couldn't fill an order on Wednesday as I had no charts left! Totally a funny moment, so busy with the threads we forgot how low we were on charts! They have been reprinted and are coming from the printer today. So no worries there.

I had just a super weekend in Portland, OR with a great group of gals for their 20th Anniversary event. We enjoyed every moment and I miss everyone already! The weather was amazing and Acorns and Threads looks spiffed up with new carpets etc since they had the flood late last year, good to see, way to go Jeannine and staff.

Enjoy your little visit and come back often to see what we are working on.

Warmly, jeannette

And so it begins.....

Finger Pyn Pillows - one is complimentary, the other three in a chart pack.

Finger Pyn Pillows - one is complimentary, the other three in a chart pack.

And so it begins.... tomorrow we leave for Nashville.... and the Needlework market, finishing up laundry, signage and price sheet and load QB to the laptop...... this rather quick turn around of 2 days from Seattle to the market..... has me a bit upside down but hopefully I haven't forgotten anything..... one of these little sweet pillows below is the complimentary pattern with purchase and the other 3 were so cute I called them Finger Pyn pillows, <because they are no bigger than a minute> and those 3 are in a pattern together for purchase.

2016 Nashville Needlework Market coming up....

Finally I get to blog... I didn't realize how I would miss it until I couldn't do it. Our nice little website was hacked into and locked us out so we had some issues to deal with.... and here we are but a week away from the Needlework market. It will be short as of course at this time of year we are low on any extra time but I was so pleased that Word Press let me in today that I had to say a little something.

I hope that you had a chance to see from your favourite needlework store some of the upcoming goods from everyone, looks like market will be fun to go to. Am pleased to be part of it. But before I go there I leave tomorrow for Seattle and the NWSG - and have a wonderful weekend of events there. I know.... right..... the timing is not the best for me, but Wilma and I were just saying we have never been this organized for Nashville because we had to be. But of course there are issues..... my thread from Australia hasn't arrived yet, despite being sent in January. My printer had their big I-gen printing machine go on the fritz, so all my printing was  quite a few days late, Wilma and I were sweating it out waiting for the patterns to come so we get them out to ship in a timely fashion and not worry my head off if they will make it in time. But in the end one does what one can..... and..... now it is making signage and fixing prices- price sheets etc.  and making piles in the office of this goes here, that goes there..... and packing for Seattle. I am really looking forward to meeting the ladies at this event, it is lovely to be going to the coast. Landlocked Alberta is looking pretty sad, the snow has melted from all the chinook type weather and the grass is brown. Green will be nice.

I hope that my photo will add for you, I posted it on Facebook earlier in the week and had fun making this collage type picture. There will be 6 new patterns, along with some Patterned Pretties, if you are collecting them, and a collaboration with Paulette of PSS and a Free chart, that spawned a cute little addition.... I will say no more.....

We will load the new things as soon as we can make the website work for us.... as you see the Designs page is blank. We will see what shapes up for us. In the meantime I do hope that you check with your local shop they are so good about getting everything uploaded from market etc. - we work hard to get there, and then they work hard at the show and post show getting it to you.

Cheerio, enjoy your stitching till next time......
