Thank you for attending a lovely weekend event with The Common Thread 2- a la San Francisco at Needle in a Haystack. We were a small group, but oh so fun and so great to share with each other, learn new little tricks and get some great stitching done in class, which as we know doesn't always happen. Thank you to Cathe Ray from NIAH for some lovely lunches outside and dinners tasting new and different things. Thank you for my lovely gifts- all in use!
Prior to ending up in SF for the weekend, my husband who has a special birthday this December has always wanted to go to the Reno Air Races and they happened to be the week before so off we went to the Races. We enjoyed the walk along the Truckee River and a day at the beach at Lake Tahoe. After some great wine tours in Sonoma we enjoyed a beautiful trip down the coast to Carmel. A great lunch at Pebble Beach and some of the most glorious views along that coast and some delightful hours at the Monterey Aquarium.
Thanksgiving weekend is coming up for us this weekend. I look forward to spending it with family and our extended family on Sunday. It is always a bit early for you in America but for us in the little bit colder clime, it just seems right. The colours are still beautiful and the kids can play outside. On Thanksgiving Monday I will be flying off to Myrtle Beach, but I have to do it in two days as if I do it all in one, it is such a long day from what I call 'o'dark:30' to 10.30 pm that I have split it into 2 days traveling, that sounds terrible too, but I think it will be okay. I look forward to meeting you all the "Pals Stitching at the Beach". From some snow this week to beach, sounds good to me. I will have a booth, and will have new and older patterns and threads available, so bring your list. See you soon!
Wishing you in Canada a lovely Thanksgiving and all of you some great fall stitching time.
