We are totally getting excited for our trip with you down the Rhone River in France…… which is awesome! I have been wanting to tell you the size of the piece – here it is: Stitch Count 52 x 178 on 32 ct fabric- makes it 3 ½ x 11 ¼” – the cut piece of fabric will be 9 x 18.The rest is a surprise!
Have you finished your pincushion for the exchange? I just have to sew mine together…… looking forward to seeing what you all have stitched. Have you picked your tours and such, I think I did! Well ladies it will come up soon enough and we will be enjoying a trip of a lifetime.
A couple of things of note especially to shop owners:
I will be away on the European Cruise with the stitching group – we will be leaving May 26and returning June 19th – as most of you know post the Paris -Barcelona we are flying to Edinburgh for our daughter’s wedding, post that event we will be hosting an after party in Calgary so I will be not answering emails in a timely fashion from May 26 – June 19 and from June 19 to July 4will be catch up- both Kathy and Wilma are also taking much needed holidays – although Wilma said yesterday she would probably come and try to clean up our big mess we have been creating with all these shipments and check my email for any immediate needs. We will only be doing minimal orders till July 5th -then it is back to our snippets and we will be shipping those on either 10th or 12th of July depending on how much we can get done to be prepared.
We can certainly do orders till May 24th so no worries there.
I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with the success of the Canadian Snippets. We will be shipping Snippet # 7 & 8 next week. We will be shipping # 9 & 10 early in July. Thank you everyone for embracing this project and enjoying it and stitching it! It is great to see the variety of choices for stitching – the sampler is lovely as well as the pincushions, but the rather special one is the cube that a stitcher completed with the first 6 – she is anxiously awaiting to start her next cube I think! Here is several photos.
After I return in June and recuperate in July…. :-) …. I will be working on a fall piece and kitting up our Common Thread 2 a la San Francisco to teach at Needle in a Haystack in Sept. I will also have a booth in Myrtle Beach for the Pals weekend – Stitching at the Beach in October. Look forward to seeing you at these events and going to them. Always a treat to go to SF and Cathe’s great desserts!
I wish you all a great May and June -travel safe!
